Heyyy friends!
Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a great first day of the year yesterday! I sure did. I accomplished two of my “New Year, New Me” habits that I want to start incorporating into my daily life. A little fact about me is that even though I brush my teeth and wash my face every single morning, on days that I don’t have to be at work I will totally spend all day in my pajamas. Ha! So one of the things I want to start doing is getting out of my pajamas – even if I’m just changing into other lounge clothes. I totally get that it my sound silly to some, but it made me feel better about myself – LOL! I also made my bed yesterday. So ya, I pretty much killed it. #winning
We all actually got a pretty late start yesterday but it was so nice to sleep in. We got out of bed at about 9:30 AM (that’s kind of embarrassing to admit – ha!). Hubs made breakfast and then I got the crock pot going for dinner. Hubs’ parents came over to have New Years dinner with us and we all had a good time! We had some uncarved pumpkins on our front porch (leftover from Halloween) and the guys all walked them out to our big lot at the back of our property and had fun plinking them with their rifles. We had roast beast for dinner with potatoes, carrots, green beans, and rolls. Then everyone (except me) enjoyed apple pie and ice cream for dessert. After Hubs’ parents left I gave Baby Girl a quick bath and after putting her to bed we watched Arthur Christmas. I know it’s after Christmas and all but for whatever reason Netflix didn’t have that movie available to watch until yesterday.
Anyway, I really didn’t mean for this post to be so lengthy but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope 2020 is all that you hope for! I’m determined to make it a good year. Without going into detail, I feel like the past couple of years have been really hard on me in my many way and I’m adamant that this will be a better year. “Rock bottom will teach you lessons that mountaintops never will.” Truer words have never hit home so much for me. “2019: Thanks for the lessons. 2020: Let’s do this.”
