Liebster Award

I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Ashley at Sparkle and Spice!
This was such a nice surprise! :]

The Liebster Award is given by bloggers to newbies to encourage them to keep blogging. Once nominated you have to answer 11 questions given to you, list 11 random facts about yourself, and then nominate 11 bloggers, and give them 11 questions.

Her questions for me (and the other ten bloggers she nominated) are:

1. Beauty product you can’t live without? Is Chapstick considered a beauty product? I seriously couldn’t live without it!
2. Beer, Wine, or Liquor? None, I’ll take a water please. :]
3. What is your guilty pleasure? Pedicures! Part of me feels guilty for paying someone to paint my toenails, but I can’t help it!
4. Favorite mascara? Mascara is probably my second favorite beauty product and I have so many favorites! The Aveda Mosscara is reeeally nice, but I’m not a huge fan of paying $20+ for mascara. I also really like Rimmel Lash Accelerator and Revlon Photo Ready.
5. Favorite perfume? I’m not really a perfume gal. I prefer body mists/sprays and I LOVE Pink Chiffon from Bath & Body Works.
6. How did you come up with your blog name? I originally really liked “Sweet Pickins”, but that sounded too impersonal. Hubs’ nickname for me is Runt, so I went with “Runt’s Pickins”.
7. Favorite meal of the day? Dinner!
8. Who are your favorite bloggers? Ah, I have so many! I really like The Pioneer Woman and the BGR posts because they let me know when paid iPhone apps are free for the day (LOL!). Addicted 2 Decorating is also a fave of mine. That girl is a rock star!
9. What is your go to outfit for a night out? I’m most comfortable in jeans and a blouse, sweatshirt, tee, etc.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hm… I’m currently 25, so by 30 I hope to have at least one more kid, maybe be working part time (at a corporate job), and maybe possibly be running a professional Etsy account.
11. What is your biggest beauty fail? I don’t think I’ve done too many crazy things to have a fail… I dyed my hair 1,000 colors in high school, but I kind of liked it. ;]

1. I don’t like bacon.
2. My first concert was N*sync. (Don’t hate.)
3. My little boy is seven months old today.
4. I’m pretty weird, but I’m okay with that. :]
5. I don’t pay attention or know as much about politics/everyday world issues as I should.
6. I’m terrified of needles.
7. I haaaaate waiting for nail polish to dry, so I hardly ever paint my finger nails.
8. I wish I had better handwriting.
9. I LOVE chocolate.
10. I’m super self conscious about myself, (appearance, etc.), but really confident in my beliefs.
11. I talk to myself, a lot.
