Another super busy weekend for me!
Friday – I worked until 5:00, grocery shopped until about 6:30, then watched The Help with Hubs at home. I liked the movie! Of course, the book was better…
Saturday – I got out of bed at 8:00, cleaned non stop for THREE AND A HALF HOURS, picked up my little sister in law at 11:30, went to a Ladies Fellowship at my neighbors house at 1:00, got home around 5:00, my mother in law picked us up around 6:00ish to go birthday shopping for my niece and father in law, got home between 8:00 and 9:00, ate dinner, watched TV with Hubs, and went to bed. Side note – Hubs was hunting all day and he got a buck! Yay! Meat in the freezer! =]
Sunday – I got out of bed around 8:00, had to be at church by 10:00 to enjoy all of the yummy things we baked at the Ladies Fellowship the day before, got home around 11:30-12:00, worked on craft projects until about 4:30, made dinner, showered, watched part of It’s Complicated, watched The Walking Dead, and went to bed.
Here are some of the yummy things the ladies made for church breakfast.

There was also apple cinnamon coffee cake that I don’t have a picture of.
On Saturday after I picked up my little sister in law we decided to work on some projects. I had gotten this really cute display shelf from Goodwill for $2.99 a while back. It’s solid wood with a chicken wire front. It had pen marks on top but it was cool and I saw potential!
I forgot to take a picture before I taped off the chicken wire. Sorry!

It went from that – to this…
Cute, right?? All I did was take off the hardware, taped to cover up the chicken wire, and then spray painted with Krylon White*. It took me about three or four really light coats. I actually kind of like that the wood is still showing through the white. So simple but it made a huge difference.
My little sister in law spray painted a frame for me that I had gotten for $1 at a rummage sale.
(That’s the picture that came in the frame by the way.) The frame size is a little odd, it’s a 5×5. I plan on printing a quote from our wedding song or a bible verse. I might even Mod Podge* over the existing matting to make it a little more fun and colorful. Or change the matting out altogether… we’ll see!
What did you do this weekend?
