As I was restocking some of my shower products I noticed that all but one thing was a drug store item so I thought I’d do a quick round up of everything. Do you ever wonder what someone else’s shower routine is? I’ll be the first to admit that my brain works in weird ways and I totally do wonder things like this all the time – ha! My specific order goes like this – shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shave, then wash my face. Weird topic, but what about you?
L’Oreal Total Repair 5* – I’ve tried MANY shampoos. I’ve paid anything from $5-$35 for a bottle of shampoo and I’m being completely honest when I say that this one is my favorite. It smells great, hydrates my hair, and leaves my hair feeling so soft and sleek. I also feel like it’s really helped my hair strength.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist* – Same goes with this conditioner. It’s a simple, inexpensive drug store find and I like it a lot more than some more expensive conditioners I’ve tried. I put this through my hair from mid shaft to ends at first and then run what’s left through the roots of my hair. I let the conditioner sit in my hair while I body wash and then rinse it all out. It doesn’t leave any greasy/slimy feeling residue, smells great, and has made a big difference in the softness level (is that a thing?) of my hair.
Botanic Tree Exfoliating Cleanser* – When it comes to washing my face I’ve always double washed. I use this exfoliator (the one thing that isn’t a drug store product, but also isn’t ridiculously priced) and it’s the perfect grit for everyday use. I also talked about this product in my Top 10 of 2019 post!
Cerave Hyrating Facial Cleanser* – Once I’ve rinsed all the exfoliator off I use this face wash. This face wash feels like a lotion (so it will not get sudsy). I will admit that when I first started using this I wasn’t too sure about the feel of it. Like I said, it doesn’t get sudsy at all and it feels like you’re just rubbing lotion all over your face, but I love it now. When I use this after the exfoliator I feel a tingly/cooling sensation and I love that! I also want to mention that this product is sooo gentle on your skin and very hydrating.
I’m currently on the search for a good drug store moisturizer. Any suggestions?
